𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐘𝐔𝐌𝐀𝐒, 𝐑𝐉𝐒𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒.𝐈𝐃– The controversy surrounding the dismissal of village officials in Kalapa Gading Kulon Village, Wangon District, has intensified. Ananto Widagdo, SH, S.Pd, acting as the legal counsel for nine village officials, has publicly criticized the Village Head (Kades), Karsono, for issuing new Dishonorable Discharge Decrees (SK PTDH) despite a counter-order from the Regent of Banyumas.

Speaking from his law office in Berkoh, South Purwokerto (18/01/2026), Ananto Widagdo revealed that the Regent of Banyumas had previously officially revoked the initial dismissal decrees and ordered the full restoration of the rights of the nine village officials.
In a move described as highly irregular, the Village Head responded by issuing brand-new dismissal decrees against eight officials (as one has since retired) using the same justifications previously invalidated. "This is an anomaly. The Regent's Decree must be respected. Legally, the Village Head's action of issuing new decrees for the same objects is an act of arbitrary power," Ananto stated.

Ananto emphasized that this "Second Round" of dismissals is legally flawed. Under Article 53 of Law No. 6 of 2014 concerning Villages (UU Desa) and 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐚) 𝐍𝐨. 𝟐𝟔 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟓, the dismissal of village officials must follow strict procedures, including written consultation and recommendations from the District Head (Camat).
"Our clients had not even returned to their duties after their rights were restored by the Regent, yet they were dismissed again. Furthermore, the appointment of a new Village Secretary (Sekdes) appears rushed. Appointing village officials is not a discretionary whim; it must follow a transparent recruitment and screening process as mandated by law," he added.

Beyond administrative disputes, the legal team is actively monitoring a corruption allegation involving the village administration currently handled by the Anti-Corruption Unit (Tipikor) of the Banyumas Resort Police (Polresta).
"We are closely following the police proceedings. According to our information, a case exposition (gelar perkara) will soon take place to escalate the status to a full investigation and name suspects. Once a suspect is named, we urge the Regent to immediately issue a 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞 against the Village Head, in accordance with 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝟐𝟗 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟑𝟎 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐰," Ananto asserted.

The legal team is currently finalizing a lawsuit to be filed with the State Administrative Court (PTUN) to annul the second wave of dismissal decrees. While legal proceedings are ongoing, the status of the village officials remains in status quo.
"We are focused on securing justice for our clients. We want the public to understand that this is about upholding the rule of law and ensuring that village administrations do not operate in defiance of higher government authorities," Ananto concluded.(*)
